I Joined INTEG
Is it a fate? or a destiny?
About one year ago, I wrote a letter to my self. I invite my self to join an Information and Communication group. I wrote there that I want to publish my first research paper, national (I mean, Indonesia) region. How and why, where to start?
I started to speak my mind, my ideas, my dream, at least to my fellow friend. I got one or two people, who have common idea like me. I found that I share the same dream with them. Why not we catch them together?
At 26 Feb 2010, I went to IIUM Invention Exhibition, alone. Previous night, my friend (that I told you before) asked me, why I did not come to the exhibition. Simply because, I did not know. As he said, there are some of my friends and seniors who colaborate with my lecturer (Sir Ahmed Zeki, DR Teddy, and some others) to publish their paper. So, it’s a must for me to see their work, what they have done, and perhaps find my topic for Final Year Project (a.k.a Tugas Akhir Kuliah).
I met DR Teddy, one of the lecturer that have passion on research and encourage the student in the class to have the same spirit. I asked him, what did he do in the paper and how many of them won the medal so far (in the Exhibition, there will be several gold, silver and bronze medals). And he invite me to join his lab, INTEG lab in Kulliyyah of ICT IIUM.
Wow,,,He did invite me…
Alhamdulillah, in a short time I joined the IT community
What I’m affraid is, I do not know what to start, what to do, and do not have necessary knowledge about what I must do.
But Bro Abi n Bro Amir, both started with zero. They search, they learn, they found. And I think that, may be, a basic modal of any researcher. Insyaallah, this is the best opportunity to start contribute to the society, by applying knowledge that I learn in this university. I think, it’s both a fate and destiny.
Do you find your destiny? If no, be passion and have a hope.
